Project Winter is a game of deception and survival. Players attempt to brave the brutal wilderness, as the dangerous environment, wildlife, and human enemies could kill them at any turn. Project Winter was set to debut on Xbox Game Pass tomorrow, but developer Other Ocean Group needs a bit more time. Therefore, the game is being delayed by a little over a week.
The overall premise of Project Winter may sound slightly like Among Us, one of the biggest games of 2020. Survivors must work together to complete a series of objectives like restoring radios, cutting down trees to craft materials, and more. Meanwhile, traitors can set traps around the map and kill the survivors. The goal of the survivors is to escape; the goal of the traitors is to stop the survivors from making it out alive.

According to a tweet from the official @ProjectWinter Twitter page, the new date in which Project Winter will be available on Xbox Game Pass is February 4, 2021. In having fun with the somewhat disappointing news, the developer claims that perhaps one of the pesky traitors sabotaged the game temporarily.
Project Winter is already available on PC and is an endlessly fun co-op game by many estimations. As an added bonus, players will be able to enjoy cross-play functionality as soon as it is available on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. It is also a joy to be able to play a game like Project Winter for free for anyone who has an Xbox Game Pass membership. A quick download and a few games is a very simple way to test out a game before diving fully in, while still being free.
Project Winter is available now on PC and is coming to Xbox on February 4, 2021.
