Cyberpunk 2077 is amidst its next round of patches, though it appears that it also came with a deadly weapon in the palm of players' hands.

The redemption arc for CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is just beginning, although, as expected in the aftermath of updates and patches, the open-world game is still experiencing some bugs. While entirely unintentional on behalf of the developers, this hilarious glitch may be seen by players as one of many things that makes Cyberpunk 2077 better, even if it breaks immersion.

The glitch appears to have shown up following the huge update pushed out by CD Projekt Red to fix the rampant bugs within the game. Some of the bug fixes included things widely complained about by the player base, such as police spawn mechanics and driving, as well as funnier ones, like V's weird sleeping position. Many players took the opportunity to venture back out into the city and observe the changes to the game, resulting in one player somehow brandishing a lethal weapon with nothing more than the tip of their finger.

In the clip, V is seen running around with what appears to be a unique weapon in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 - a finger gun. The HUD is virtually unchanged, even reflecting that V is currently holding a weapon, but to the naked eye, it looks as if V is aiming only their index finger. The player, operating as V, navigates into a nearby shop and demonstrates on an NPC that V can even shoot and reload normally.

Cyberpunk 2077 is known for having tons of Cyberware weapons available for V to equip, although the likes of a finger gun is probably a little too powerful. Furthermore, as revealed by another commenter, the glitch isn't new at all but rather one that has plagued the game since launch. That's not entirely too surprising since, as known by many now, the game's greatest feature at launch appeared to be a never-ending list of bugs.

On the other hand, as the game likely won't see its true, final version any time soon, glitches like this still make the game somewhat entertaining to pick up again. This particular glitch doesn't break the game or cause any potential time paradoxes, but it's still one that players might find themselves messing around with for hours on end. That doesn't mean it'll stick around long, among the other game-breaking bugs, since CD Projekt Red is dead-set on ironing out all that it can to get the game running smoothly again. Of course that's a good thing, considering that some players are still holding out hope that Cyberpunk will deliver someday.

Cyberpunk 2077 is on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
