Marvel's video game division has had a bit of a shaky track record over the last few years. On one end of the spectrum, Insomniac's Spider-Man games have breathed new life into the superhero gaming genre, delivering authentic, wonderful stories set in the Marvel universe packaged together with innovative and compelling gameplay. But on the other end of the spectrum, there's Marvel's Avengers, a greedy live-service disaster. Eidos' Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game definitely belongs more to the former camp, though its reception wasn't quite as ground-breaking as Spider-Man's.
