Oddworld: Soulstorm has been inching closer to release for some time now. Soon enough, Oddworld: Soulstorm will release, and players will join Abe once again in liberating his people, the Mudokons, from their enslavement. Before its release, the game's developers have some helpful tips for players.
A recent PlayStation post revealed more details about Oddworld: Soulstorm, providing tips and information to help players complete the game. Some of the details in the post included how players can unlock Level Select and improve their Quarma score in the game. It also revealed how players can unlock the multiple endings in Oddworld: Soulstorm as well.

In the post, Co-founder and Creative Director of Oddworld Inhabitants Lorne Lanning provided the details on how players can unlock the different endings in the upcoming Oddworld: Soulstorm. Lanning outlined that there are four different endings players can unlock depending on the number of Mudokons players save as Abe throughout all 15 levels. While players can go through all levels not saving any Mudokons, Lanning advises players to save at least 80% of them in levels to achieve a good score and unlock levels 16 and 17.
Lanning also provided a breakdown of the different endings and the criteria for unlocking them in the game. To unlock the Worst Ending, players must save 80% of the Mudokons in 6 levels of the game or fewer. If players save 80% of Mudokons between 7 to 11 levels, then they unlock the Bad Ending, which comes with "an explosive cinematic." To unlock the Good Ending, players must save 80% of Mudokons in 12 levels or more, which will unlock an extra cinematic as well as levels 16 and 17.
For players to unlock the Final Ending in Oddworld: Soulstorm, they must save 80% of Mudokons in all 17 levels. According to the post, when players unlock the Final Ending, they can enjoy a "newspaper cinematic" with Oddworld: Soulstorm's graphics. Lanning says that saving the Mudokons will go toward unlocking the endings and improving players' Quarma score, but it will also help players during the game.
He states that there are close to 1,400 Mudokons in the game for players to rescue, but unlike in the previous Oddworld games, they're not a burden in this one. Players will be able to use their followers to help solve problems and get out of sticky situations that would be too much for Abe to handle alone. This time around, players will get more bang for their buck if they help save Abe's people while completing the various levels in Oddworld: Soulstorm.
Oddworld: Soulstorm will release on PC, PS4, and PS5 on April 6, 2021.
