Mario Kart Tour's newest event Ninja Tour is now live, celebrating the mobile app's 1.5 anniversary. For the next two weeks, players can complete the anniversary challenge on a new course as well as a new driver, glider, and kart.

The mobile racing game Mario Kart Tour puts on a slew of events, such as the recent Mario Tour, where the franchise celebrated the plumber on Mar10 day. Now, it's finally time for the Ninja Tour, introducing a number of new elements such as the Ninja Shy Guy, brandishing ninja armor in blue. Of course, he can be pulled from Mario Kart Tour's version of a gacha. His special ability is the Boomerang Flower, which allows the Ninja Shy Guy to spin and strike nearby opponents during the race.

At the Mario Kart Tour Pipe, players can also find a new glider called the Ninja Scroll and a new kart called the Jade Hop Rod kart. The Ninja Scroll offers the Mega Mushroom Plus ability, which greatly increases the driver's chances of getting a Mega Mushroom. The Jade Hop Rod, styled like a frog, greatly increases jump boost time and the points earned from jumping. Players can also spend money to obtain the Crimson Hop Rod.

Ninja Tour will be available from now until April 21, where players can compete in the Ninja Tour in multiplayer. Until then, players can enjoy the new course Ninja Hideaway.

Some fans are confused as to why Ninji, a newer character in the Mario franchise, isn't the mascot of this event. Regardless, many are excited for the Ninja-themed tour.

Mario Kart Tour is out now for Android and iOS mobile devices.
