It seems that comedy and cuteness are not the "in" things for spring, as the anime series focusing on these themes has failed to gain much attention amidst the 2023 line-up. Certain series' renewals have also fizzled out of the spotlight, as Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc and Dr. Stone: New World dominates the long-term anime viewers' attention.
