Earlier this year, we got some very brief insight into the tone and visuals of From Software’s exciting upcoming IP, Elden Ring. The leaked seven-second clip showcased some horseback combat as well as open prairies and rugged landscapes, which Dan Tack expertly highlights here. Moreover, another Elden Ring leak has surfaced, and while it’s nowhere near as informative as the video that came before it, an interesting never-before-seen location is still on display.

Updated: The below footage has since been confirmed as fake, it has been taken from an artist via their ArtStation. Learn more here

In the six-second clip which, you can watch here on reddit, a cinematic camera pans slowly through what appears to be a shadowy crypt of sorts. Ancient statues kneel above empty tombs – perhaps, these are triggerable enemies. Towards the end of the video, we get a quick look at a domed ceiling, which could potentially be signaling that the gothic crypt is a massive, multi-floored environment. Beams of sunlight peek through a crack at the very tip of the rotunda. We've seen similar environments and awesome architecture in From's previous catalogue, but we're always interested in seeing more. Any more information on what context this area brings to Elden Ring’s narrative will likely be revealed in future, official footage.

Elden Ring was first announced at E3 2019. In an interview with IGN, famed Soulsborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Director Hidetaka Miyazaki stated that Elden Ring is his most ambitious project yet, “With a larger world, new systems and action mechanics inevitably become necessary. I think that Elden Ring is a more natural evolution of Dark Souls.”

Leaks, of course, are not to be taken lightly as they can be particularly deflating and even harmful to a game’s launch. Solid information about Elden Ring has been kept under wraps, but it looks like it could be a fresh, revolutionary take on the infectious die-until-you-succeed gameplay loop. As of right now, Elden Ring is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. No release date or release window is available at this time.

What can you glean from the new leak, and has it made you even more excited to see what FromSoftware has been concocting?

When Insomniac Games first unleashed the chaotic parody that is Sunset Overdrive, it was an Xbox One exclusive. This vibrantly colored, energy drink-fuelled open-world experience deserved a lot more love than it got, but not it looks like it could finally be making its way over onto PlayStation platforms due to a recent trademark seemingly filed by Sony. Which makes sense, given that the PlayStation company owns the studio that created this game to begin in.

The trademark filing for Sunset Overdrive was spotted by @Nibel and looks to be registered with a status update of 26/04/21 (04/26/21, for those in America). The trademark is for the single phrase 'Sunset Overdrive', which some are connecting with an earlier leak that seemed to point to a remastered edition coming to PlayStation consoles.

It appears that Sony has registered a trademark for Sunset Overdrivehttps://t.co/sUlKPPxfwT

While I would love to see a continuation of this highly overlooked RPG with its comedic punk flair and really fun character customization, it is important to remember one thing. As we say in all of our coverage that talks about trademarks filed: it doesn't necessarily mean a new game is coming. Trademarks are filed for a plethora of reasons: protection against third-party use, merchandising purposes, updates, and - well, yes - new games.

Paired with the earlier leak that seems to suggest some form of "revamped" Sunset Overdrive experience could be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Sony, at this time, has yet to confirm that anything is on the way. That being said, the Summer months are rife with new game announcements. While Sony won't be a part of E3 this year, that doesn't mean it's got nothing to show during that allotted time period.

Welcome aboard, Commander. With the Mass Effect Legendary Edition just ten days away, the Normandy crew is preparing to reunite right here on planet Earth to celebrate. Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer both shared the news, both voice actors behind the iconic Commander Shepard with this character's male and female counterparts.

Hale shared the news on her Twitter about the May 15 panel, which will be a live cast reunion where fans can even get autographs:

Many returning voices are joining the event, including Jack's voice, Legion, Ashley Williams, and more. Sadly, this Normandy is going to have to go without its pilot, because Joker's voice actor, Seth Green, doesn't appear to be a part of this livestream event.

In the post, it was revealed that there will be a stream event after for the Legendary Edition after a live autograph signing. The event is sent to go live on Saturday, May 15, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific. That's one day after the Legendary Edition drops when it arrives on May 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

As part of our cover story back in February, we went all-in when learning about what went into making the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. From Mako changes to character improvements, there is a lot to look forward to for returning players. For newcomers to the trilogy's adventures, the ability to play all three games as they are meant to be played (thanks to the included DLC) is an exciting first step into a fandom that continues to be passionate to this day.

As we head into the second day of the Epic Games vs. Apple lawsuit, I urge you to check out our previous coverage here to learn more about the road thus far. From monetary blocking to crossplay protection, the first day in court was a wild one. And that's not even talking about the screaming kids demanding to Free Fortnite when the dial-in number was accidentally made public. Out of the numerous bits of information that was revealed yesterday, there is something that Fortnite and Nintendo fans can be excited for. With the inclusion of different heroes across various videogame universes, a few more have been spotted in recently-made public documentation, including a Samus Aran and Naruto for the battle royale game.

There were a plethora of skins revealed in the documentation (via The Verge) showing off various collaborations with Epic Games for Fortnite, but my personal favorite is the Samus Aran skin seen below:

Epic Games via Northern California Court District

Naruto, The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen, The Bride from Kill Bill, Die Hard's John McClane and more can be found. The list is wild, but not entirely unexpected when comparing it against an official survey Epic Games sent out to Fortnite players asking what they'd like to see next added into the online adventure.

You can see the revealed character crossovers from page 20 and onwards in the below PDF of the released documents:

We've been following this trial closely, long before it even began. From the day everything kicked off back in August of 2020, the battle between Apple and Epic Games has been intense. The Fortnite company goaded Apple into removing its game from its storefront when it deliberately bypassed the iOS terms agreement, effectively cutting off Apple from the agreed-upon 30% cut of revenue. Apple responded immediately by taking down the game, which launched what has now led to an ongoing trial. To learn more about the events leading up to now, you can see what has happened so far here

There are 14 different Pokemon to find in New Pokemon Snap's Sweltering Sands (Night) course, most of which are fairly easy to photograph.
Returnal players may be prepared to die multiple times, however, Selene can find items that will prevent death or reconstruct her without dying.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players can earn a new bat mount by completing all ten boss achievements in the Castle Nathria raid.
The Sweltering Sands (Day) course in New Pokemon Snap is home to 15 different Pokemon and finding them all is actually fairly straightforward.
Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft brings Ravenloft back to Dungeons and Dragons in detail, and is abandoning a lot of its old tropes along the way.
