As fans prepare to celebrate Star Wars Day, an industry insider suggests that Microsoft may be eyeing an Xbox exclusive Star Wars game.
The all-new Luminous Legends X event begins today in Pokemon GO, bringing Xerneas, the Rainy Lure Module, and new 6th generation Pokemon to the game.
A new document from the Epic Games vs Apple court case reveals that both Dead Island 2 and Saints Row 5 will be Epic Games Store exclusives on PC.

Welcome aboard, Commander. With the Mass Effect Legendary Edition just ten days away, the Normandy crew is preparing to reunite right here on planet Earth to celebrate. Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer both shared the news, both voice actors behind the iconic Commander Shepard with this character's male and female counterparts.

Hale shared the news on her Twitter about the May 15 panel, which will be a live cast reunion where fans can even get autographs:

Many returning voices are joining the event, including Jack's voice, Legion, Ashley Williams, and more. Sadly, this Normandy is going to have to go without its pilot, because Joker's voice actor, Seth Green, doesn't appear to be a part of this livestream event.

In the post, it was revealed that there will be a stream event after for the Legendary Edition after a live autograph signing. The event is sent to go live on Saturday, May 15, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific. That's one day after the Legendary Edition drops when it arrives on May 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

As part of our cover story back in February, we went all-in when learning about what went into making the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. From Mako changes to character improvements, there is a lot to look forward to for returning players. For newcomers to the trilogy's adventures, the ability to play all three games as they are meant to be played (thanks to the included DLC) is an exciting first step into a fandom that continues to be passionate to this day.

Set aside just over an hour of your day for the excellent first episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the latest animated show from Lucasfilm, creator Dave Filoni, and head writer Jennifer Corbett. You can catch this episode on Disney+, with new episodes premiering every Friday, beginning with episode two on May 7. The first season consists of 16 episodes, making it one of Disney+'s longest original shows.

Set within the aftermath of the Clone Wars, the show begins with the Jedi on the run from Order 66. We get a graphic look at the Emperor's bid to establish the first galactic empire, but also see a glimmer of hope in an unlikely place: among his own ranks. The Bad Batch are an elite squad of clones who have turned on their own and want to bring peace to the galaxy. Their ranks read like a squad in a cooperative video game, with each player playing a distinct role. Hunter is the leader, specializing in stealth and tracking. Wrecker is the tank, skilled in close-range melee. Tech is the gadget specialist. Echo is the hacker. And they are all provided cover by Crosshair, the sniper.

The new featurette above gives you a good look at all of these clones in action. Since they are clones, they are all voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He is joined by Ming-Na Wen, who reprises her role as Fennec Shand, the mercenary that first appeared in The Mandalorian.

The Bad Batch's first episode feels like a natural extension of The Clone Wars series, yet has its own vibe thanks to the focus on this elite squad. It's fun to see them work together and use their unique gifts, but also get knocked off of their game early by an unexpected addition to their ranks. Disney has been on a hell of a run in the streaming space, and this seems like it will be another must-watch show on Fridays. It'll soon be joined by Marvel's Loki, another show I can't wait to watch!

Destiny 2: Season of the Chosen is coming to a close, which means a new stage of the Bungie sequel is on the horizon. After numerous leaks, Season 14 has been revealed to be Season of the Splicer and it arrives later this month after the Guardian Games come to a close

Season of the Splicer will take longtime Guardians back to familiar places, including the beloved raid from the first game with Vault of Glass. But it wouldn't be a new Season without a new activity and new gear. Bungie tells Game Informer that among the new arrivals to Destiny 2 is a fresh six-player activity called Override that will center around this Season's narrative that revolves around the Vex.

"The Vex threaten the safety of all who inhabit the Last City, plunging humanity's sanctuary into an endless night," Bungie tells us. It's up to Guardians to group up with Kell of the House of Light, Mithrax, to learn the sacred teachings of what it means to be a Splicer. Guardians must learn this new power and master it, lest they fall. Take a look at the trailer for Season of the Splicer below:

What is Override?

Override is a six-player activity that is the latest seasonal addition. It will task players to hack the Vex simulation in order to steal Vex code and uncover its secrets. More details about what Splicer entails can be found here

Weekly Pinnacle mission

Season of the Splicer will also welcome a brand new Pinnacle mission that will reset every week for powerful gear, which will include new gear that arrives with the latest content update. This is a three-player mission called Expunge and it is all about finding the vulnerabilities of the Vex and taking advantage of that to the fullest degree. Hack into the Vex network and tear it asunder from the inside out. And earn sweet gear while doing so.

Vault of Glass raid

Vault of Glass is arguably the most beloved raid in Destiny history, though Deep Stone Crypt has been a strong contender. Guardians will once more be able to return to the fan-favorite event, though it won't be exactly as we remember it in order to make the gameplay feel fresh. There will also be a World's First event for this raid as well, with key changes since it isn't a new instance. You can read more about how Bungie is tweaking Vault of Glass with our previous coverage here

H.E.L.M changes

H.E.L.M was first introduced in Season of the Chosen, giving off major Marvel's Avengers vibes. The area that we are now familiar with is expanding, with a new chamber overlooking the loading bay. It's here that players will be able to tamper with Splicer tech and hone their efforts towards the Vex offensive.

Transmog - Armor Synthesis

Destiny 2 players have been begging for a transmog system since the first game, and now it's here. Ada-1 has returned and comes bringing with her some new features and additional responsibilities. When Bungie first revealed the intricacies of transmog, called Armor Synthesis in Destiny 2, the player base was widely upset that the ability to customize comes with a seasonal cap and additional grind. While the grind itself doesn't seem overwhelming, the seasonal cap is a bit of a bummer, especially since that cap ties to individual armor pieces and not full sets. You can learn about transmog - in full - here, including how it works, where to get started, and the introductory seasonal bonus to celebrate its arrival.

Season Pass perks

Season Pass owners will be awarded with an Exotic Stasis Sidearm called Cryosthesia 77K alongside seasonal universal ornaments, XP boosts, and more through the usual reward tracks.

Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer arrives on May 11 and will conclude on August 24.

Ed Boon is known for his clever tweets, but sometimes the gaming community makes a big to-do over harmless posts. Is his latest post another theory gone wild, or is the Mortal Kombat co-creator really teasing a new Marvel game? You decide.

Boon and his Twitter account are always in the conversation. Sometimes he posts things that are wildly taken out of context; other times, he cleverly hides game secrets in plain sight. Because of that, it's hard not to look at his latest post as something other than a potential tease, especially with a new Marvel game rumor being such a hot topic.

The Mortal Kombat co-creator retweeted a post from director James Gunn, a post about his latest film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Boon shared the initial post, saying, "Wow, [James Gunn] has managed to work on DC and Marvel movies. That's impressive." He added a thinking emoji for effect and, apparently, that effect worked because gamers from all over immediately clamored to see if this was a clue. Even Geoff Keighley joined in on the speculation:

Listen Ed, this is a GUARDIANS post. We love you. I love you. You can be the greatest troll ever, but IF THIS GAME EXISTS AND STAR LORD ISNT IN IT... pic.twitter.com/nxOSY5CCJU

That's the rumor.

Rumors kicked back up once more about a new Marvel game recently, claiming that NetherRealm is hard at work on a Marvel fighting game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Obviously, Mortal Kombat has dabbled in the DC-verse in the past, which is what fans are latching onto with the specific wording of Boon's tweet.

Outside of cryptic tweaks and leakers sharing knowledge about what's in store, neither NetherRealm nor Marvel has confirmed rumors at this time.

We cover a lot of mods here at Game Informer, and for good reason. Sometimes mods can make a game so much better, with fan-driven expansions and improvements alike. Sometimes, though, they can just be silly, and that's what we're digging into today with this Resident Evil Village mod that adds Barney into the mix. Because naturally.

Even though the Resident Evil Village demo was relatively short, even after the extension, that didn't stop modders from getting in there and causing some mayhem. That's exactly what one modder did when they decided to add Barney the purple dinosaur into a game filled with monsters and horror. And you know what? I'm not mad at it:

As spotted by the fellow mod lovers over at PC Gamerthis mod brings Barney into the mix in the best way possible. Why take down Lady Dimitrescu's daughters and Lycan when you can cut off the head of the world's friendliest dino instead? Amirite?

The mod in question comes via @MarcosRCRE, a 3D artist with a love for all things Resident Evil. You can get access to Resident Evil Village mods from this creator over on their Patreon. They also have a few other mods as well for the latest Resident Evil title, including bringing in the Merchant from Resident Evil 4 to replace the Duke. Interested? You can learn more right here

The Star Wars creator's original plans for the saga brought the story of the Skywalkers full circle with the return of a familiar Sith menace.
The infamous kiss scene in 'Captain America: Civil War' left fans confused, and apparently even actress Emily VanCamp was unsure about it.
