The myriad troubles following the bumpy launch of Cyberpunk 2077 have made CD Projekt Red a target for anonymous hackers. Earlier this month, an “unidentified actor” bypassed the developer’s firewalls and gained access to the source codes for Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3 (and an alleged version of The Witcher 3 that was never released), and Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. After refusing to meet the hacker’s demands, the aforementioned source codes were ultimately sold. Recently, Gwent’s source code has been found online and CD Projekt Red is taking swift action.
According to Kotaku, a plethora of Twitter users are sharing links to the Gwent source code. In response, CD Projekt Red is taking down those tweets with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). One takedown notice read, “Description of infringement: Illegally obtained source code of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. Posted without authorisation, not intended to be released to the public.” In addition to this, CD Projekt Red has been talking with law enforcement as well as the President of the Personal Data Protection Office to further the investigation surrounding the mysterious hacker who originally distributed the source codes. And to make matters worse, personal information was also leaked in the breach as well as “documents relating to accounting, administration, legal, HR, investor relations and more.”
A next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077 is slated to release at some point this year. Despite the developer’s significant problems over the past few months, fans are still waiting for the updates and patches that are scheduled to drop in the near future. The open-world RPG now has official modding tools and some free content is expected to be implemented very soon as a part of CD Projekt Red’s 2021 DLC program, “Our planned expansions will take you even deeper into the world of Cyberpunk 207, offering substantial, story-driven content that'll give you tough choices to make through impactful narratives that you won't soon forget.”

Whenever I think of Fall Guys, I usually say to myself “you know, this game could use a lot more Cuphead.” That’s not true at all, but for the handful of you that have begged for a crossover between the two games, you’ll be happy to hear that outfits inspired by Studio MDHR’s hit platformer are arriving in Fall Guys this week.
Soon, you can adorn your jellybean in costumes designed after Cuphead and his pal Mugman. Cuphead arrives in the game on February 24 while Mugman joins February 27. Each costume comes with their own emote. Those emotes, as well as each costume piece, costs five crowns each. Cuphead serves as the latest game to appear in Fall Guys following crossovers with Doom, Untitled Goose Game, and Sonic the Hedgehog, among others.
In case you missed it, last week it was announced that Fall Guys is spreading its wings by migrating over to Switch and Xbox platforms this summer. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting for Cuphead’s much-anticipated and repeatedly delayed DLC, The Delicious Last Course, which is slated to arrive sometime this year after being pushed out of 2020. On the subject of Cuphead-related media currently floating in limbo, there’s that Netflix animated series we haven’t heard an update on in a while too. What I’m saying is that while it’s awesome to see more Cuphead anything, this announcement also serves as a sore reminder of the larger projects still in the pipeline (that Tesla thing wound up happening though, so there’s that). Based on the responses to Studio MDHR’s announcement tweet, I’m far from alone on that.

Valheim is a stunning survival game that perfectly balances mechanics that the genre is known for with a beautifully soothing soundtrack and art direction that makes it easy to get lost in. With a massive focus on building and creating, there are a few mods out there to make it a little more creatively-focused, like Minecraft, for those interested! If that's you, here are some of the best Valheim mods that we recommend.
Before recommending what mods to pick from, a quick disclaimer: there is an option to toggle on PvP, though it's not as scary as it may sound to someone who detests PvP. In order to activate this, you need to go out of your way to actually choose it, so if you are looking for a player vs. player experience, we recommend doing so without any mod assistance.
The True Creative Mode mod is inspired by Minecraft's Creative Mode and works very similarly. There are togglable options for players to use if they still want some challenge such as the God Mode, Fly Mode, and Kill All Enemies option.
Full features include:
This is one that I won't play if someone is in my server, but when I'm going solo it makes it a little more enjoyable to try to build the palatial home of my dreams while living out that Viking fantasy.
You can download this mod here.
In a direct pivot away from the Creative mod, this Expert Mode mod ramps up the challenge factor of Valheim immensely. While the settings can be tweaked by the user, the vanilla version of this mod sets all enemies at 2 stars but the catch is that the loot dropped is at 0 stars. This gives players a harder challenge with lower-tiered loots, making both combat and crafting more brutal. Or you could just do the above mod and go ham on foes with the God Mode.

Stamina, like in most survival games, is a key mechanic in terms of survival and exploration. With Valheim, the stamina in-game depletes at a rapid rate (though this can be improved upon through the title itself, especially through boss fights and the blessings offered through communing through runes). If you're like me, you love to just explore: swimming, mountain climbing, running for your life in terror because oh my god, where did all of those trolls come from?!
The Stamina Overhaul mod completely changes the stamina mechanic in-game by improving regeneration rates, removing over-encumbered stamina depletion, eliminating the stamina penalty whilst sneaking around, and more. The rate of drain overall is slowed as well, making it easy to go for that swim or to run up that mountain without fearing a total drain that leaves you helpless against any enemies that may be on your tail.

When you die in Valheim, you have the option to retrieve any gear lost when you were felled. Instead of losing all of that hard-earned gear, the game packages it all up nicely into a neat little gravestone. Unfortunately, that means you'll have to go back to the place you died (which can be far from spawn, if you're not careful) completely vulnerable unless you have backup gear in your house.
If you're like me and you like to go bonkers without a care in the world for consequences, this Gravekeeper mod might just be for you. It's simple, and all it does is allows players to keep the items that they have acquired even after death. No slow march back to your loot, simply respawn and bam! Your items are back with you where they belong.

It's an unspoken rule: Where there can be a Lord of the Rings tribute there will be a Lord of the Rings tribute and Valheim is not exempt from that. This mod doesn't change anything mechanically the previous recommendations, instead it just adds the Barad-Dur Sauron Eye Tower into the game. Is it necessary? Nah. Is it cool as all heck? You betcha!
You can download this mod right here.
There a few other odds and ends that I recommend as honory mentions, including the No Wear and Tear mod that removes the uglier textures from damaged structures and the Item Stacks mod that increases the stack size for your inventory.
As someone that typically stays away from survival games because I just don't have the patience for them, Valheim is something truly special. Mods help tailor experience even more for those that are looking, but the title itself does a good job at balancing all of the various mechanics, making its intended experience an adventure worth appreciating.

Sony confirmed a Twisted Metal TV series back in May of 2019, but since then news has been mum. Luckily, that's changed, because more details have arrived, including who is behind the latest adaptation and what fans can expect.
The upcoming Twisted Metal TV show will be a live-action adaptation under the umbrella of Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions. The series will focus heavily on the chaotic vehicular combat seen in the PlayStation staple, bringing the total destruction that has reined supreme since 1995 a new medium to take over.
Variety reports that the upcoming show will be an action-comedy series that will be based on the original game. The writers behind the Deadpool movies are also involved with Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese taking point.
“Twisted Metal is one of the most beloved franchises from PlayStation,” said Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, in a statement about the new show. “We are thrilled to have such a great team working on bringing this iconic game to life for the fans.”
As for the series itself, the show will follow a "motor-mouthed outsider" that is seeking greener pastures. In order to make a better life for himself, however, there is one small task that stands between him and a better life. Tasked with delivering a "mysterious package" across an area ravaged by greed and post-apocalyptic endeavors, this "small task" becomes much bigger than anyone realized. This outsider is joined by a car thief that shoots first and asks questions later with some deranged clowns thrown into the mix (because why not?). The upcoming Twisted Metal TV series aims to bring the chaotic experience we all know and love to a wider audience.
Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai) is set to write and executive produce the TV adaptation alongside Will Arnett, Peter Principato, and Marc Forman. PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst is also on board to executive produce, though casting decisions haven't been revealed at this time.
What do you think about the Twisted Metal TV series news? Are you excited to see how this team handles the hilarious destruction that the games themselves gave us? Sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below!
