Action movies from the 1990s were some of the greatest in filmmaking history. It's no surprise that they also deliver some of the best one-liners.

Have you been playing Ubisoft's For Honor lately? Maybe you should be! But in case the prospect of the game's intense multiplayer battles isn't enough to pull you in on its own, perhaps a little shovel-related incentive can push you over the edge. That's right: Yacht Club's perennial guest hero, Shovel Knight, is now available (sort of) in For Honor.

As part of the announcement of For Honor's Year 5 content, Ubisoft has announced that Shovel Knight-related cosmetics are available in the game for a limited time. Before we get into the details, take a look at what to expect in the trailer below:

While this isn't technically a cameo appearance from the famed knight himself (maybe For Honor can't support Catfish People?), these items definitely add some of Shovel Knight's signature flair to the For Honor battlefield. The official Ubisoft press release breaks down the specifics of what's available starting today:

Players can dig into Shovel Knight-themed content including a Shovel Drop Emote and 3 Illustrious Outfits, each featuring Ornaments, Mood Effects, Symbols, and more. The Emote will be available for 10,000 Steel, and the Outfits will be available for 15,000 to 20,000 Steel each; all items can be purchased via the in-game store from now until March 4.

If you aren't familiar with the Shovel Knight series, it started as an excellent retro-styled action game before branching out in other directions. Since the first game's release, Shovel Knight as a character has become a bit of an indie all-star, appearing in a variety of projects as a guest.

When it comes to For Honor, you can familiarize yourself with the game by reading Jeff Cork's original review – but that won't give you the most current picture. Today's update is just the most recent in a long string of updates and additions over the last four years. The fact that the game has been thriving for so long is definitely a testament to the dedication of its player base.

Are a For Honor master who has been playing since day one? Are you a Shovel Knight fans who wants to see it all? Share your thoughts about this recent crossover in the comments below!

A ton of additional content is coming alongside the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War’s Season 2 event. Season 1 dropped towards the end of last year and introduced new weapons, new maps, and some returning characters. Earlier this month, the new, free Zombies location Firebase Z placed players in the jungles of Vietnam to dispatch a never-ending undead horde. Season 2 will look to build onto the Dark Aether storyline while providing more nuanced modes to the classic Call of Duty multiplayer formula. You can watch the trailer above.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, players can begin the Season 2 festivities with Outbreak, a zombies-focused playlist that takes players across the game’s largest multiplayer maps to complete a series of objectives. These objectives range from intense transdimensional escort missions to fending off waves of zombies while trying to escape the battlefront via helicopter. Or, if you’re the daredevil sort, why not enter a Dark Aether portal to claim exciting bonuses? Additionally, new abilities will be available that look to enhance the gameplay with crowd-control mechanics or destructive ammo mods. PlayStation owners will get an exclusive Onslaught map, Apocalypse, which will task players with feeding a Dark Aether Orb while trying to survive waves of zombies in a close-quarters arena.

Six new weapons are also joining the loadout pool. Slice apart your enemies with a machete or pummel them with a...shovel. Firearms include a new bolt-action rifle as well as an SMG and rapid-fire assault rifle. Bring these weapons with you when you hop into the new multiplayer modes and maps coming to Black Ops Cold War. The maps, named Apocalypse (not to be mistaken with the exclusive Zombies map), Golova, Mansion, and Miami Strike, will test the chemistry and skill of small-scale (2v2 or 3v3s) and standard-sized (6v6) teams alike.

Warzone’s Verdansk will have two new points of interest and a new game mode called Exfiltration. In Exfiltration, players need to find a portable radio placed somewhere in the popular battle royale map and must hold onto it for a set period of time. Others will be able to see the players holding the radio on their maps. Finally, a 90-player mode called Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme showcases the frenetic qualities of Black Ops Cold War’s combat.

Season 2 goes live at the end of the month on February 25.

After a rocky launch led to a dwindling playerbase and low sales, Crystal Dynamics has a long way to go on redeeming Marvel's Avengers.
