Apex Legends Season 8 launched yesterday, adding the new character Fuse, a new weapon, and changing up the original map King's Canyon. Along with the launch of the new season, Respawn Entertainment announced that Apex Legends will officially be releasing on Nintendo Switch on March 9, with the team celebrating by giving Switch players 30 free Battle Pass levels. The celebration doesn't stop there, as Apex Legends will be launching an in-game event to celebrate the 2 year anniversary since its release.
According to reliable data miner "Shrugtal," the first event of Apex Legends Season 8 will be the Anniversary Collection event that will launch on February 9, although it has not been officially confirmed by Respawn. The Anniversary Collection event will feature recolors of popular skins in the shop and event challenges that unlock a pool of prizes.

Along with the release date and skins that will be available during the event, Shrugtal also revealed a leaked prize tracker for the event, showing off all the prizes players can earn through the challenges. The leaked prize tracker for the Anniversary Collection event may be one of the most impressive prize trackers yet, as it features 10 rare Apex Packs throughout the prize tracker.
Throughout the prize tracker, players can unlock stat trackers for fan-favorite character Wraith, and much like other prize tracker events, there will be three stat trackers that make up a picture for players to display. Wraith's stat tracker picture is actually the first concept art for her character, making it a very interesting stat tracker players will want to get their hands on. Also within the list of prizes is an epic R-99 skin called "Second to None," a Legendary Holo-Spray that reads "Happy Anniversary," and one of the most adorable weapon charms depicting Nessie with a balloon, party hat, and a cake with a number two candle on it.
However, players may be more enticed by the last prize at 5,000 points, which will award players with an insane looking Legendary Spitfire skin called "Demon's Claw" and an epic Anniversary Collection Apex Pack, which will most likely feature one of the Collection event cosmetics.
Although Shrugtal claims that the event will start on February 9, it is possible that it launches at a different date. Hopefully, the event runs for at least a month, so Nintendo Switch players can experience the two year anniversary of Apex Legends with the Collection event.
Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and will release for the Switch on March 9.
