Easy to pick up but hard to master, rogue-likes offer a bite-sized experience with addictive gameplay loops and a procedurally generated layout that keeps the game feeling fresh after many hours. However, in such a saturated market, it's hard to stand out. Cult Of The Lamb found its niche in the horror rogue-like genre, executed it well and only had to make a few infernal deals along the way.
