GameStop has brought back four Super Smash Bros. Ultimate compatible amiibos, giving fans a chance to pre-order some figures that had gone out of print a while ago. Amiibos are a set of collectible toy figures produced by Nintendo. The line was first released in 2014 as a part of the fourth Super Smash Bros. game, where players could tap their amiibos onto their 3DS or Wii U to make the associated character appear in-game, train them to earn rewards, and gain new abilities. The Nintendo Switch kept its compatibility with the figures, with a lot of Super Smash Bros. amiibo functionality carried over to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
