Niantic has confirmed that there will be an in-game Pokemon GO event celebrating the Pokemon 2024 World Championships in August. The Pokemon Company holds an annual competition that celebrates the long-running franchise. Players gather to take part in head-to-head tournaments across the mainline Pokemon entries, as well as Pokemon GO and even the Pokemon Trading Card Game, to find the worlds best trainers.
