Arena Mode adds an interesting twist to Apex Legends and team compositions can be pretty important. Here's a look at some of the best.

Apex Legends takes players back to the days of Apex Predators in its new Arena Mode. Unlike its staple Battle Royale counterpart, the Respawn game's new Arena Mode confines two teams of three in an area for a death match. Essentially, players rely on limited Abilities, pre-purchased weaponry, and scattered loot to dominate in the Arena Mode's fast-paced matches. And as with Battle Royale, players who master their team compositions will obliterate the enemy before they even know it.

Thing is, composing the perfect three-man team for Arena Mode isn't the same as with Battle Royale. After all, teams for Battle Royale need the right skills to outlast enemies. Meanwhile, the Arena Mode needs teams to have the right arsenal to outmaneuver the enemy as fast as possible. Thankfully, some Legends have the right toolkit for the job.

10 Bloodhound, Mirage, Wraith

Bloodhound has a keen talent for tracking his enemies, and he can direct his team for a stealth wipe with the right configuration. Thanks to his Eye Of The Allfather (Tactical), he can tag enemies for allies to see - immediately giving Mirage and Wraith the green light for an assault.

Once Bloodhound tags opponents, Mirage can send a Decoy (via Psyche Out, Tactical) to lure enemies out into the open. Likewise, Wraith can Phase (Into the Void) to attack enemies from the flank for a quick wipe. Moreover, Bloodhound himself can enter combat with his Beast Of The Hunt (Ultimate), which gives him an enhanced version of his Tactical in addition to a speed boost.

9 Bangalore, Bloodhound, Octane

Seeing "Sonar Detected" means Bloodhound knows exactly where they're coming from. It's in that moment where enemies decide what to do upon detection that Bloodhound can direct an aggressive offensive, and his comrades Bangalore and Octane specialize on offense.

Once Bloodhound tags his enemies, Bangalore can send a smoke canister (via Smoke Launcher, Tactical) to block enemy sight. This should leave a few seconds of free detection to shoot while their enemies escape. Should this happen, Octane should be buzzing around in speed via Stim (Tactical) for the quick kill. If Bangalore is feeling a bit merciless, her Rolling Thunder (Ultimate) can block an enemy's escape with a barrage of missiles.

8 Caustic, Crypto, Pathfinder

Caustic might seem unideal in a fast-paced situation like the Arena Mode. However, his knack for traps make him a perfect pair for Crypto and Pathfinder. Essentially, Crypto can pinpoint enemy positions via Surveillance Drone (Tactical). At this point, Pathfinder can use his Zipline Gun (Tactical) to get into an offensive position or wait elsewhere to provide covering fire.

Meanwhile, Caustic can use this opportunity to set up defenses via his Nox Gas Trap (Tactical). When used defensively, Caustic can secure obscure corners to deter the enemy's assault. Meanwhile, Caustic can also position his Traps in crucial corners as the enemies approach them. Either way, the toxins from his poisons can provide a rather worrisome damage-over-time to distract enemies.

7 Crypto, Lifeline, Mirage

Crypto favors the slow and sure approach, and Lifeline and Mirage serve as the best allies for this. His Surveillance Drone (Tactical) can spot enemies within the Arena, giving his team a lot of opportunities to approach combat. And with Lifeline with the support via D.O.C. Heal Drone (Tactical) and Combat Revive (Passive), Mirage can confidently go on the offensive.

Essentially, Mirage can use his Decoys (via Psyche Out, Tactical) to lure enemies out in the open - with Lifeline providing the handy support behind or in the flank. When engaging, Crypto can disengage from his Drone and provide much-needed fresh support to secure the win.

6 Crypto, Mirage, Pathfinder

Crypto and his Surveillance Drone (Tactical) can find the best positions to secure the advantage. If players appreciate a chess-like approach to Arena Mode, then Mirage and Pathfinder become suitable teammates. Essentially, Pathfinder's Zipline Gun (Tactical) can help him get into favorable positions away from the enemy. This allows him to become the sniper or provide suppressive fire from up high.

On the ground, Mirage can use Decoys (via Psyche Out, Tactical) to lure enemies out. This time around, Pathfinder can shoot them from afar and force them to retreat - potentially where Crypto is waiting for a nasty kill.

5 Crypto, Mirage, Wraith

Crypto is perfectly equipped for the stealthy kill, and comrades such as Mirage and Wraith can capitalize on his potential. Essentially, Crypto can declare enemy positions via Surveillance Drone (Tactical), after which Mirage and Wraith can provide a coordinated stealth assault.

In terms of team synergy, Crypto banks on the reality that enemies tend to leave their spot as soon as the Surveillance Drone detects them. And while an enemy shooting his Drone can become a pesky nuisance, this still gives Crypto's team enough time to chase after their opponents.

Mirage can use Psyche Out (Tactical) to have his Decoys confirm the enemy's position. After this, Wraith can zoom in for the kill with her Into The Void (Tactical).

4 Gibraltar, Mirage, Wraith

A good defense can become a good offense, and that's what Gibraltar can offer. With the help of Mirage and Wraith, Gibraltar can tank enough damage while the other two secures the kill. Essentially, Gibraltar's boosted defense (via Fortified Perk and Gun Shield Passive) and Dome Of Protection (Tactical) can lure enemies to his direction. Aside from their offered protection, their "obvious" visual serves as the perfect distraction for enemies.

Afterward, Mirage and Wraith can capitalize on their varied offensive options to finish opponents. Mirage can use Psyche Out (Tactical) to provide additional decoys to sell Gibraltar's shield illusion. Meanwhile, Wraith can use Into The Void (Tactical) to Phase herself to an enemy's flank for the easy kill.

3 Lifeline, Rampart, Revenant

There's nothing wrong with being too careful. Thankfully, the likes of Lifeline, Rampart, and Revenant specialize in slowly securing areas for the assault. While there's always the risk of leaving their position exposed, the right strategy with this team can force enemies right on their crosshairs without any room for exit.

Lifeline's D.O.C. Heal Drone (Tactical) and Combat Revive (Passive) ensures there's enough health to go around for this risky maneuver. Meanwhile, Revenant and his Silence (Tactical) deters an enemy's assault or even redirects them to where he wants them to go. Theoretically, the defensive side of Rampart's Amped Cover (Tactical) should provide enough coverage to secure an area - especially with the help of the SHIELA Minigun (Ultimate).

2 Mirage, Wraith, Valkyrie

The Arenas become a straightforward hunt for the likes of Mirage, Wraith, and Valkyrie. And thanks to the trio's innate reconnaissance skills, they can annoy enemies enough to reveal themselves for the unsuspecting kill.

On a more visual level, Mirage can maximize his Psyche Out (Tactical) to deploy Decoys. If an enemy shoots the decoy, then Mirage practically knows where they're hiding. In this instance, Wraith can use Into The Void (Tactical) to Phase herself inside unsuspecting enemy space, and Valkyrie can wait with her Missile Swarm (Tactical) to wipe out opponents as soon as they go outside.

Alternatively, Valkyrie and Mirage can serve as vertical and horizontal annoyances, leaving enemies distracted for Wraith to secure the kill.

1 Octane, Pathfinder, Valkyrie

Nothing's wrong about rushing in for the kill - especially if the squad is built for exactly that purpose. Mobility-oriented Legends such as Octane, Pathfinder, and Valkyrie can work together precisely for this strategy. Thanks to Stim (Tactical) and Launch Pad (Ultimate), Octane can zigzag through the battlefield and lure opponents out into the open.

Thanks to Zipline Gun (Tactical), Pathfinder can immediately reposition to favorable areas and provide adequate sniping or covering fire. Likewise, Valkyrie's VTOL Jets (Passive) give her unprecedented control over verticality to confuse opponents. It doesn't help enemies that her Missile Swarm (Tactical) can immediately become an instant enemy deterrent as well.
