Players that are wondering about the length of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart can find all of the information that they need here.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is set to release in just a few days, and many players are extremely excited to dive into this highly-anticipated PS5 exclusive. Before getting started with the game, though, some fans may have questions about exactly how much time they will get to spend with Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. Answering those questions is the precise purpose of this guide, and players will find details on the game's length in what follows.

To get right to it, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart fans that plan to go for close to 100% completion should expect to reach the end credits in around 15 hours. Of course, that completion time can be extended further by actually hitting the 100% mark, and it can be shortened by focusing on the game's main story exclusively. That said, the amount of optional content that a player chooses to engage with should only alter a playthrough's length by a few hours in either direction.

For those fans that are curious, the length of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is in line with the length of many of the other titles in the series. Indeed, games like Up Your ArsenalA Crack in Time, and the remake from 2016 all have completion times in the realm of 15 hours, and the duration of the newest entry is thus unlikely to surprise veterans of the franchise. These players will also not be shocked to learn that Rift Apart does feature Challenge Mode, which gives the game some additional replayability.

For the uninitiated, Challenge Mode is present in a majority of Ratchet and Clank games, and it is unlocked in Rift Apart by completing the story once. Essentially, it functions as NG+, allowing players to bring the weapons and upgrades that they acquired during their first playthroughs into a fresh game. Fans will not be able to simply mow down everything that they encounter with these powerful weapons, though, as the enemies in Challenge Mode are quite a bit stronger.

To note, the Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart trophy list that is currently available does not feature an achievement for completing the game on Challenge Mode. While this could change in the future, it does not seem that players will need to finish an NG+ playthrough in order to obtain the Platinum Trophy. As such, Challenge Mode will primarily serve as a way for fans to test their skills and have a little more time with Ratchet, Clank, and Rivet.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart releases June 11, 2021 for PS5.
