Season 4 arrives soon for Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, bringing an all-new limited-time event across both games.

Call of Duty: Warzone kicks off Season 4 in just a few days, bringing a lot of new content to the popular battle royale. The developers have detailed some of what players can expect from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone's newest season, including the limited-time event that kicks it all off.

Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 3 was started with a massive nuke event that saw the entire map of Verdansk being blown away with a nuclear strike. Afterwards, the map was sent back in time to the 1980s, so many players have wondered how Season 4 would follow it up.

Now, the developers have revealed in a blog post that Season 4 will start with a limited-time event known as Ground Fall. The reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 hinted at the season featuring satellites crashing back to the earth, so it seems likely that that is what Ground Fall is referencing. The blog post also reveals that the event will see players having to find and secure satellite links across both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards that can be used in both titles.

The blog post also says that players will be able to tackle challenges that are related to Season 4's new game modes, maps, and weaponry in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War while challenges in Call of Duty: Warzone will focus on new points of interest added to the map. Completing the challenges will grant players XP for the season's battle pass as well as rewarding Emblems, Calling Cards, as well as a satellite weapon charm. Any players who complete all of the season's challenges will get one of Call of Duty: Warzone's blueprints for a secondary weapon that will not be available any other way.

The limited-time event seems like a good way to kick off Call of Duty: Warzone's Season 4. It is interesting to see the season incentivizing players to play both Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to complete all of the event's challenges. The Season will come after Call of Duty: Warzone's recent patch increased cheating across the game, but Season 4 will bring a lot of new content to the battle royale and multiplayer shooter for fans to enjoy. Thankfully, fans do not have much longer to wait until Season 4 arrives.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S with Season 4 launching on June 17.
