Destiny 2 players have seven new seasonal challenges to complete for week eight involving the final Path of the Splicer quest and Trials of Osiris.

Seven more seasonal challenges have unlocked for Destiny 2 players in week eight of Season of the Splicer. Players need to complete the final Path of the Splicer story quest and must acquire two of the themed ornaments for Null Composure.

Destiny 2 players will also want to venture into Trials of Osiris to complete a challenge that will award a Trials of Osiris weapon upon completion. This week in Season of the Splicer also sees the return of Iron Banner, so players should be completing bounties and earning tokens to get pinnacle gear and some of the new weapons.

Here are the seven seasonal challenges for week eight of Season of the Splicer in Destiny 2:

To complete this challenge, Destiny 2 players need to complete the final Splicer story quest, Path of the Splicer 8. As usual, players need to visit the Splicer Servitor in the HELM to receive a message from Mithrax and begin the quest.

Players also need to open 20 Corrupted Conflux Chests which can only be opened with Corrupted Key Codes. These chests are also only found in Corrupted versions of the three Expunge missions. Progress for this challenge is retroactive, so any previously opened chests will contribute towards this objective.

To complete this challenge, Destiny 2 players need to complete an Override mission in 15 minutes or less. This is quite an easy challenge, and since progress is retroactive, a lot of players will likely have completed it already.

For this challenge, players need to unlock 45 Conflux Chests in Override and focus 45 Umbral Engrams into Splicer gear using the Prismatic Recaster. Progress for these objectives is tracked retroactively, so Destiny 2 players may already have one or both objectives completed already.

Players should definitely focus on opening the Conflux Chests first to get Decrypted Data, which is needed to upgrade the Splicer Gauntlet. Some upgrades will boost the amount of Decrypted Data earned per Conflux Chest which will help players focus even more on Umbral Engrams.

Destiny 2 players need to defeat powerful Vex in any activity to complete this challenge. Bonus progress is awarded for defeating powerful Vex enemies in Override and Expunge missions.

For this challenge, players need to complete the Primeval Patina quest to unlock the Gambit-themed Smith’s Touchmark ornament for Null Composure. The Legendary Fusion Rifle is obtained by completing a quest from Banshee-44.

Destiny 2 players need to win seven rounds in Trials of Osiris to complete this challenge. Players that complete this challenge will get a Trials of Osiris weapon too. This challenge was available last season too, and players that completed the challenge were guaranteed an Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon.

To complete this challenge, Destiny 2 players need to complete the Vanguard Vestments quest to unlock the Vanguard-themed Coordinated Offensive ornament for Null Composure. Ornament quests are available once the Legendary Fusion Rifle has been unlocked.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light and the new Season of the Splicer are available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
