Xbox announces it's collaborating with Nike on a Space Jam: A New Legacy bundle, with the pack including sneakers and an Xbox controller.

Slated to hit theatres and HBO Max later this month, Space Jam: A New Legacy will bring LeBron James and the cast of Looney Tunes back together for another zany basketball adventure. With the film's release date inching ever closer, it seems Xbox wants to celebrate the blockbuster's arrival in style, announcing today that it's collaborating with Warner Bros and Nike to release some New-Legacy-themed merchandise.

Available in North America via the Nike SNKRS app, the three companies will be selling a bundle containing a Space-Jam-inspired pair of LeBron 18 Low sneakers and an Xbox controller. Fans will be able to pick up the limited edition bundle on July 15, with it officially hitting Nike's app just one day prior to Space Jam: A New Legacy's release.

As for what fans of the franchise can expect from the tie-in merch, Xbox's controller features plenty of colorful nods to two of Looney Tunes' most beloved mascots. The game pad's design centers on the iconic feud between Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, with the face of the controller filled with erupting dust clouds and lit fuses, while the D-pad is styled to look like an Acme explosive.

The shoulder buttons and back of the controller, on the other hand, feature a distinct blue trim reminiscent of the Road Runner. It also manages to fit in two references to the cartoon characters' iconic phrases, with “Yeeow” and “Beep! Beep!” running down the grips.

The LeBron 18 Lows themselves stick to a similar theme, with the right shoe centering on the Road Runner and the left Wile. E Coyote. The former offers a mix of blue tones and a Nike logo covered in dust clouds, while the latter sports an earthy color with a Nike logo styled to look like an Acme explosive. It adds to the growing lineup of collaborations the shoe brand has taken part in, with the last year alone seeing Nike team with PlayStation and League of Legends.

It's not the only tie-in promotion Microsoft is currently running for Space Jam: A New Legacy, with Xbox recently announcing a video game adaptation of the sequel. The title, which was designed according to fan pitches sent into a competition Microsoft held earlier this year, is currently available through Xbox Game Pass' Perks program. It's a 2D Beat' Em Up which casts players as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, and LeBron James, as the trio battle the Goon Squad. The game will be free to play on Xbox starting July 15. The company will also be releasing a further three Space-Jam-inspired controllers, with gamepads for the Toon Squad, the Goon Squad, and the Serververse.

Space Jam: A New Legacy will be available in theatres and on HBO Max on July 16.
