For players looking to transfer over their saved demo data for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, they can use this handy guide.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is the follow-up to the 2017 3DS spin-off and turns the series into a turn-based JRPG. The game has launched worldwide for PC and Nintendo Switch, but there was a Monster Hunter Stories 2 demo released a week or so ago that allowed people to check out the first hours of the game. Luckily, for those that decide to purchase the full retail game, the saved data from the demo can be carried over and players can continue their progress.

By using this short guide, players can learn how to transfer their trial version save data to the full game so that they don't need to start the game over from the beginning again.

The first thing that players will need to do is start up the full game with the same user account that was used to play the demo version. If not, the save data might not carry over properly. Once gamers boot up Monster Hunter Stories, the game will say that no save data exists and will ask players if they would like to create a new save data file.

This may seem like it'll erase the trial save data, but players should press on 'Create' and continue to the game's title screen. Selecting create won't erase the trial version data. Now, once players make it to the title screen, there will be an option to 'transfer from the demo.'

And that's all that players need to do to transfer over their game data for Monster Hunter Stories 2. It's worth noting that if players changed any of the game settings in the demo version, they will be reverted to the default options. So, players will need to go back into the options menu again if they would like to alter anything.

Players that transfer over their trial data for Monster Hunter Stories 2 will receive some extra downloadable items, like special costumes, armor sets, and more. Once players have everything acquired and they're back into their game, saving progress at a save point is a must just to make sure all game data is safe.

Now, players can continue their adventure with Rathalos and discover what's going on with the monsters that are running rampant. Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a rather lengthy JRPG, so players will have plenty of content to sink their teeth into.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is now available for the Nintendo Switch and PC.
