Outriders is the type of game that greatly benefits from teaming up with friends. It makes the enemy encounters easier when all four classes are in play, and the typical grinding and farming found in live service games is a lot more fun when players have a buddy or two shooting up the enemies on Enoch with them.

With the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S both off to a fantastic start to the new console generation, friends might have picked up Outriders on different consoles. This, combined with crossplay becoming more common, means a lot of players would expect cross-platform gaming from People Can Fly’s flagship looter-shooter.

Players will be happy to know that Outriders has full crossplay support between all consoles and PC. This means users on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and The Epic Games Store can all enjoy farming for legendary drops together. Unfortunately, the Stadia version of Outriders doesn't support crossplay right now, but People Can Fly have assured Stadia users that the feature is coming.

If players are returning to Outriders now its server issues have been fixed, they might think that crossplay is a new feature, but the game was always intended to be enjoyed across all platforms. Developers People Can Fly had to disable the feature, as it was causing increased crashes and disconnects for players.

Thankfully, Outriders crossplay is now working as it was always meant to, but the option isn’t automatically enabled when launching into the game. Friends will first need to navigate a few menus before they can start searching loot to get the best builds in Outriders together.

Enabling crossplay and starting a party with friends in Outriders isn’t too difficult. No matter what platform players are on, all they have to do is follow these simple steps:

• Navigate to the ‘Gameplay’ tab from the main menu, before launching into the actual game (left on the d-pad on consoles)
• Locate the ‘Enable Crossplay’ option and click it so it says ‘On’
• Go back to the main menu and select ‘Play With Friends’
• Select either ‘Generate Your Game Code’ or ‘Join a Game Using Code'
• Give the code to friends wanting to play and wait for them to join, or input a friend’s code and join their party

Players are now ready to take on the dangerously fun world of Enoch together, whether they’re on console, PC, or taking advantage of Outriders on Xbox Game Game Pass.

Outriders is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
