Pokemon's Bidoof Day was a mixture of funny, entertaining, and frustrating to players. Despite its name, the Pokemon Go event actually took place for a whole week, starting on the first of July.

For a week, players encountered Bidoof at every turn. These Bidoof knew some attacks they would not normally know, and players got XP bonuses. That was only the tip of the iceberg though. Team Go Rocket Grunts had Shadow Bidoof, there was a Bidoof Cup in Go Battle League, and a research quest that required catching tons of Bidoof. The reward at the end? A Bidoof hat for the player character.
Bidoof was already a frequently memed Pokemon, and Bidoof Day kicked the meme hornet's nest.
10 Bidoof Everywhere
Bidoof spawned everywhere for a week. That was actually needed for players who wanted to complete the research quests. In fact, players had to catch at least 53 Bidoof to complete the professor's research and get the Bidoof hat.
Of course, there were also players frustrated by the event because they just either did not like Bidoof or were tired of the same Pokemon appearing everywhere.
9 Choose Bidoof Or Bidoof?
Within the research quests, players did have choices to make. However, the choices were always going to have the same result. There was no escaping Bidoof.

This meme literally copy pasted one of the choices the players had to make. The Pokemon Company certainly showed off their sense of humor.
8 Looking For Rare Pokemon
If any player did not want to take part in the Bidoof event and just wanted to seek new and rare Pokemon, like Fairy-tupes, then they had a bad week. Even if they did find a new or rare Pokemon, it was likely among a sea of Bidoof that the player would accidentally click.
Depending on the place, some Bidoof appeared in hoards. This was especially so near Pokestops and around cities.
7 Here It Comes
Pokemon fans that did not play Pokemon Go also were berated with Bidoof. Those who followed the Pokemon Company actually got Rick-rolled Bidoof style. The company posted a video version of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up," but rewritten to be about Bidoof and contained tons of Bidoof clips.

The online trading card game even got Bidoof inspired bonuses. The Pokemon Center store itself launched a bunch of Bidoof-themed items for fans to purchase. Such items included Bidoof-themed clothes, plushies, and even a Bidoof Zone street sign.
6 Same Choices
On step three out of the four in the Bidoof research quests, players got to make a choice. These choices were between "Nerves of Steel" and "Nests near water." Both of course were all about Bidoof and had little difference with each other.
"Nerves of Steel" got players ten Super Potions, a Bidoof encounter, and five Razz Berries. "Nests near water" got players 10 Pokeballs, a Bidoof encounter, and three Pinap Berries. Both required transferring ten Pokemon, taking a snapshot of Bidoof, and catching ten Bidoof.
5 Logging Into Pokemon Go
The Bidoof spawn rate was so high, that many players got shiny Bidoofs out of the event. However, not everyone was that lucky. Getting Bidoof with special moves was more common. These included Superpower, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt, and Ice Beam.
For raid battles, Bidoof spawned in one, two, and three star raids. Even the stamps players could send to their friends had Bidoofs.
4 Release The Beavers
Some hardcore Pokemon Go players go as far as to make petitions to the Pokemon Company for desired changes in the game. These include petitions to make getting legendary Pokemon easier and more recently being against post-pandemic game changes.
These petitions are what this meme is referencing.
3 Bidoof Before And After
As stated before, players who committed themselves to the research quests had to catch at least 53 Bidoof for the professor. Now multiply that by three, and that's how much Bidoof candy a player can acquire as a side benefit to catching all the Bidoof.

That's a lot of candy! And there can be even more if the player uses any Pinap berries to double the amount of candy they receive upon capture.
2 There Are Only Bidoof
Not only were Bidoof the only Pokemon available for tier one, three, and five raids, but Mega Raids were not not happening at all during the event. Any Team Rocket Grunt met during the event would have an entire team made of Bidoofs as well, so it was the only Shadow Pokemon available to catch for a whole week as well.
Lastly, Bidoof even photobombed any Pokemon Go pictures taken during the event.
1 Bidoof Hat
The research reward, no matter the players choice, is a Bidoof hat. Some players loved it while most did not really care. Bidoof is not as popular as Pikachu, Eevee, Mimikyu, Charizard, Mewtwo, or Mew. Some people even have an active hatred for the plump mouse Pokemon.
Most players wanted something a little less ridiculous than the Bidoof hat. They were hoping for a shiny Bidoof or an event-themed Bidoof for their ever-growing collection.
