It takes close to 50 hours to complete a watch-through of the entire MCU film series. That's a lot of opportunity for excellent cinema moments and some stellar scenes. Of which, there are of course plenty. Some of the more iconic scenes from their biggest movies get a lot of attention, but with there being so many great moments, it is hard to show all of them enough love.
Looking to the most recent MCU movie (until Black Widow of course which is to release very soon) there's a really excellent scene towards the film's climax that was leaving theatergoers breathless. It's a very trippy scene that's a little disorientating, especially in a movie theatre setting. It messes with both the heads of the viewers and the hero himself.

The film is Spider-Man: Far From Home. This movie follows teenaged Peter Parker/Spider-Man on a class trip around Europe which of course does not go to plan. The villain here is a fake-out. Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, isn't revealed as the true bad guy for quite a while. It's an interesting movie for a couple of reasons. One being that it's the first look at the MCU after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Its post-credits scene also made waves, but the absolute best thing about this film, is that it contains the most well-made and visually effective scene in the MCU.
The scene comes towards the end of the movie, after Mysterio's true identity is revealed and Peter more or less figures out what he plans to do. So far it is known that he uses his extremely highly advanced projectors to simulate both dangers and his powers. And in this scene, Peter is victim to that as Mysterio completely messes with his head in an intense way. It's very emotional, high-quality action, and even manages to fake out the viewer at some points.
Mysterio's attack on Peter Parker starts with a complete kick to the gut in terms of emotions. One of the first images he projects is Peter's love interest MJ begging for help, and Mysterio subsequently dropping her from a very high altitude. There is also a very clear and striking image of a grave at one point. The grave belongs to Tony Stark/Iron Man, who of course sacrificed himself at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Tony meant a lot to Peter and was like a father figure to him. Much of Spider-Man: Far From Home revolved around how Peter would step into his shoes. So in terms of emotional imagery, this scene is visually very hard-hitting.
Emotional moments aside, it's also just such a fun scene to watch because of the action. Seeing such a young hero in distress might be a little difficult, but it's so well done it's still enjoyable. So much is going on and there's a lot to take in, new things to notice upon rewatch, and those little details make it a special scene. It's a scene that high-brow cinema lovers will really enjoy, casual moviegoers will think is cool, and hardcore superhero fans will adore. With all of the details that went into this and how visually well-made and well-written this scene is, it really does need to be more talked about.
It's so easy to get lost in the visuals and story of this scene. Really, it feels like a short film in itself. Mysterio changes Peter's clothes multiple times. He changes their location multiple times, all the while throwing Peter around and putting him in all sorts of unsettling situations. At one point, Peter even finds himself living inside the snow globe on Mysterio's costume.
There are parts with multiple Spider-Men as well as multiple Mysterios. He also fabricates a massive Mysterio statue in some kind of dystopian world. And all of this is taking place as the villain is verbally taunting the hero, and describing what he wants to do. It's kind of terrifying. Viewers were even faked out by the end of the scene, as there's a pretend capturing of Mysterio only for that to also be an illusion, and Peter is then hit by a subway train in one wild jump scare.
Spider-Man is one of Marvel's most iconic heroes and often seen as the face of the brand. This scene is very much worthy of that. With so many hours of MCU content out there, it's of course pretty difficult to point out what the actual best scene of all time in the franchise is. Their new Disney Plus series have certainly been packing a punch in terms of iconic moments. However, Mysterio's illusion scene needs to at least be in the conversation. It adds just pure high stakes intensity, but also a lot of fun, and something so beautiful to look at.
