A survey from Epic asks players about their opinions on characters from a wide selection of media, perhaps hinting at future Fornite collaborations.

Fortnite has become a title so ubiquitous that even those who have never played the game are likely to have crossed paths with it at some point, and Epic Games seems to be constantly looking for ways to bring the battle royale in front of anyone still unaware of it. One way Fortnite has managed to permeate other media is through its collaborations with other companies via in-game skins and items, and with a new survey being sent out by Epic recently, it's possible that a new set of collaborations is on the way.

With popularity for Epic Games' Fortnite still at monumental heights, there is no surprise that a huge number of other entertainment companies are attempting to capitalize on the game's success via these crossovers. Fortnite collaborations are all-encompassing, with characters from popular film franchises, like Marvel and DC, video game titles such as Halo and Tomb Raider, as well as sports stars and influencers. The most recent additions for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 have been Lebron James and Loki, from Space Jam: A New Legacy and the Loki television series respectively.

In a post on Twitter, ShiinaBR, known for Fortnite leaks and news, released an image listing a number of options given in a survey sent out by Epic Games. According to ShiinaBR, the survey asked people for their opinions on the various franchises and characters listed, with many speculating that Epic may be gauging the popularity of those on the list for possible Fortnite collaborations in the future.

The survey itself seems to be fairly eclectic, with some more obvious franchises such as Dragonball Z and Minecraft listed alongside more obscure series like Pinky and the Brain and National Lampoon. There are characters on the list that have been requested by fans for some time, such as Goku from Dragonball Z, and also the previously released Kratos and Lara Croft. ShiinaBR points out that Superplastic's Guggimon was listed in one of Epic's surveys before being put into the game, which certainly adds some credence to the notion that this list could represent future collaborations.

While Fortnite already has an odd collection of characters from a wide variety of different media, this list seems to represent some interesting ideas. While characters like Omni-Man from Netflix's Invincible would fit into the game's art-style without issue, the notion of singer Mariah Carey or Chevy Chase from Caddyshack toting sniper rifles and constructing towers seems a little odd. Having said that, there is certainly something fun about the wackiness of the Fortnite universe, and the broad list of characters available certainly adds to that.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
