Ubisoft reveals Assassin's Creed Valhalla's title update 1.3.0 content, which confirms the Siege of Paris DLC release date, level scaling, and more.

Ubisoft has revealed everything coming in Assassin's Creed Valhalla's title update 1.3.0, which is set to release on July 27 at 5am PT/7am CT. The Assassin's Creed Valhalla patch size will depend on platform, with Xbox One users getting a 17.72 GB update, Xbox Series X/S owners getting a 23.79 GB update, PS4 users getting a 15.3-24.5 GB update depending on region, PS5 getting a 6.85 GB update, and PC users getting a 20.4-32.37 GB update.

The update includes a ton of content, including support for the forthcoming Siege of Paris DLC. Previously, the DLC had leaked as releasing August 5th, but Assassin's Creed Valhalla has confirmed the Siege of Paris DLC release date as August 12th. This update only sets the stage for it, meaning players will obviously need to download the DLC when the time comes.

While that may be the most exciting bit of news, there's still plenty for fans to dive into. It adds the Sigrblot Festival that begins on July 29 and will last through August 19. Festivities and quests related to the festival will add new rewards, including the long-awaited one-handed sword in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. To participate in the Sigrblot Festival, players must have completed one of the first two narrative arcs and be settlement level 2.

The update also officially adds level scaling to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which can be adjusted from the menu. It does not impact boss encounters and game modes, with the default mode being that lower level enemies are brought up to 30 power levels under the player. Constant means enemies will be the same power level of the player at all times, the Harder option makes them 20 power levels stronger than the player, and Nightmarish will make them 50 power levels over the player. Other additions include

  • Improved visibility in the skill menu for all new skills added since launch.
  • 6 new skills (Raven - Light Fingers and Thrill of War, Bear - Heidrun Slam and Idunn's Heart, and Wolf - Survival Instinct and Wolf Warrior)
  • Bug fixes in the Wrath of the Druids DLC
  • Bug fixes in the main game
  • Bug fixes regarding the Jomsvikings, River Raids, and standard raids
  • Bug fixe for the Master Challenges
  • Fixes to the Graphics, Audio, Animation, Gameplay, Combat, and AI.
  • Fixes to the world, UI/HUD, system, and performance and stability.

Overall, it's a rather hefty update aimed at a wide plethora of Assassin's Creed Valhalla content and bug fixes. It'll be interesting to see the festival and the one-handed weapon in play in just a couple of days, as well as Siege of Paris in just a couple of weeks.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Siege of Paris DLC releases August 12 for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
