The deluge of Call of Duty: Vanguard leaks continue, with the latest potentially revealing the game's launch date, beta schedule, and seasonal start.

By now, it’s pretty obvious that 2021’s Call of Duty, rumored to be the World War 2 shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard, is taking a longer time to be revealed than in a typical year for the franchise. That’s not stopping information from the game from coming out, however. In lieu of an official announcement, it looks like several key dates for Call of Duty: Vanguard have been leaked, including for when it will finally launch.

Of course, leaks being what they are, it’s possible the information that’s been pouring in this week isn’t accurate. It does help, though, that the leaks have been painting a more and more cohesive picture of what Sledgehammer Games followup to Call of Duty: WW2 could be like. This past week alone has seen several leaks reportedly revealing Vanguard’s box art along with new details about the game’s story and various editions. Continuing this trend is what appears to be the entire schedule for the game’s major milestones throughout the remainder of 2021.

It started when prominent series leaker ModernWarzone listed off a series of upcoming dates, which fellow leaker Tim Henderson then clarified with additional info. According to these dates, the game is slated to launch on November 5. Preceding this will be Call of Duty: Vanguard's official reveal next Thursday, August 19, so, at the very least, fans shouldn’t have to wait long to find out if there’s any truth to these recent leaks.

Assuming the rest of the schedule is legitimate, fans can look forward to a total of three different pre-launch tests over the coming weeks. An alpha will take place from August 27-29, followed by a PlayStation-exclusive beta from September 10-12, and finally a beta on all platforms from September 16-20. Additionally, the schedule teases when Vanguard’s seasonal content will begin rolling out by claiming that Season 1 will kick off on November 23, less than three weeks after the game’s launch.

Outside of the schedule, this latest round of leaks has opened up more on Call of Duty: Vanguard’s story, claiming that it will be set in the immediate aftermath of the Nazis’ defeat during World War 2. Meanwhile, there have been claims that the game will feature extensive integration with Call of Duty: Warzone, including a brand new battle royale map.

By this point, it’s all but certain that 2021’s Call of Duty will be debuting this fall as expected, meaning an official announcement shouldn’t be far off. With the version of Vanguard the leaks convey looking more likely to be real, the big question now is when the reveal will finally happen. That being said, it’s been rumored that Sony’s next State of Play event will be taking place on August 19 as well, and given the franchise’s marketing deal with PlayStation, that seems a safe bet.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is rumored to launch on November 5.
