As arguably the most surprising choice for the Pokemon Unite roster, Cramorant gets some time in the spotlight as a ranged Attacker in the Pokemon franchise's MOBA game. This Flying and Water-type pocket monster performs well despite its extremely low usage in the competitive metagame surrounding the main series titles.

Those seeking to play as this feathered fighter should keep in mind that there are two main tactics for achieving success with Cramorant: becoming a crowd-control master or unleash rapid assaults. Which one the player decides upon will depend on their personal preferences, however, there are some facts to keep in mind before experimenting in a live battle.

How To Use The Cramorant Crowd Control Build Effectively

The goal of this build is to keep as much space between oneself and the opponents as possible while pushing, pulling, and stunning them with damage-dealing moves. The Eject Button will be handy here in case foes get too close, however, since Cramorant's movement speed is relatively low, make sure to use walls and tall grass to one's advantage when avoiding enemy counterattacks.

Despite being geared more toward hindering adversaries, the moves of this build can still deal a fair bit of damage. Hurricane will allow Cramorant to immobilize enemies who are initially struck and will also leave them stunned after the move ends for a couple of moments. This is a phenomenal move for trapping opponents and can let allies lay into them without fear of retaliation. As such, it can be both a great move for taking out fleeing foes or ambushing them from the tall grass.

Surf can be utilized more for directing the flow of combat in the middle of a fray, as it will initially shove foes in a linear pattern before returning along the same path and pulling in any targets still within the long, thin area of effect. It would be best to use Surf for pushing foes away when retreating or to shove them out of a goal zone, however, the pulling action can also be used to delay adversaries from getting away.

How To Use The Cramorant Fast Attack Build Effectively

Those wishing for a more battle-intensive Cramorant build should try this one out, as it aims to let this avian pocket monster dish out many hits for high DPS. While attacking is the key, when one launches their assault, it is important to pick one's moment due to the proper timing of the X Attack Battle Item greatly helping players score takedowns more easily.

However, the main move of this build won't need too much help to achieve results, as Air Slash both does solid damage to enemies while simultaneously healing Cramorant for each of the windy blades that strike a target. The cooldown of this move is also quite short at only 5 seconds, meaning that players can blast enemies with Air Slash much more often than foes can return the favor.

The other move, Dive, is a bit trickier to use as well as understand. In functionality, this move is a dash that closes distances quickly by creating two pools of water for Cramorant to travel between to strike foes at the one that appears closer to enemies. It has a remarkably low cooldown time of 1.5 seconds, though, its usage is uniquely limited to prevent people from constantly spamming it. A total of 3 stacks of Dive can be acquired passively by simply waiting for them to charge, meaning that players can only unleash a maximum of 3 Dives in the 3 seconds of total cooldown time between them all, however, afterward, players will have to wait a little while for the stacks to recharge. This makes it so that players can assail foes with quick successions of Dive attacks or space them out to use for both initiating combat or fleeing.

General Tips On Using Cramorant

Cramorant's Unite Move - Gatling Gulp Missile

After summoning a huge area of effect that acts as a large body of water, Cramorant can become a living turret that barrages enemies nearby with unlimited projectiles over a short time. This Unite Move is best used from a goal zone or from behind allies as the user cannot move around while it is active, however, most of the time players won't need to change position as they will be able to mow down opponents relatively easily; forcing the unprepared to flee or fall in battle.
