Players have been building all sorts of interesting creations in Minecraft. While the title features modes where the main goal is to survive, those who are feeling more creative can use the game to come up with some impressive Minecraft building designs. Recently, one creative fan decided to build a structure based on the popular game Terraria.
Released over a decade ago, Terraria is an action-adventure sandbox game that, like Minecraft, has managed to remain popular since its release. In some respects, Terraria is a 2D counterpart to Minecraft, sharing several of the same gameplay mechanics. Featuring a procedurally generated world, the game gives players numerous activities to do such as go mining, take on boss fights, or even build structures. One popular building design was to convert hollow trees into treehouses with many interconnecting rooms.

In a Reddit post, a user known as Ianishch revealed a new Minecraft build based on a treehouse from Terraria. The image shared by the creator showcased a towering tree rising high above the other vegetation on the horizon. The interior of the tree was hollow and contained many different passages all intricately detailed. In addition, the creator managed to split the image in half revealing what the design looked like in the day as well as at night. One particular feature to note was the moon hanging from the tree on the night side of the image.
This impressive build took the creator a significant amount of work to finish. According to Ianishch, the entire project lasted 100 Minecraft days and 33.3 hours in real life. The creation from Ianishch has become a hit with the Minecraft community on Reddit. With nearly 1,200 upvotes, many fans believed that the builder nailed the look of the treehouse from Terraria. Some even compared the quality of the build to the level found on Hermitcraft, a private Minecraft server for content creators.
It’s exciting to see games such as Minecraft give players so many different options when it comes to gameplay. While some might want to try the challenging modes of Survival and Hardcore, others can use Creative mode to make all sorts of amazing structures such as the Bolshoi Theater from Civilization 6. Furthermore, the game also features servers that introduce even more game modes to play with friends.
With this treehouse design behind them, it will be interesting to see what Ianishch decides to build next. Perhaps they will look to reverse the roles and recreate something from the vast open world of Minecraft in the world of Terraria.
Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
