A fan of CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 creates a stunning life-sized replica of one of the game's most iconic talking handguns.

While the action role-playing video game did receive a lot of flak over its mismanaged launch, to say gamers cannot get enough of Cyberpunk 2077's dystopian-neon fused aesthetic would be somewhat of an understatement. As CD Projekt Red slowly patches the title with numerous updates, fans have created extraordinarily detailed Cyberpunk 2077 cosplays to make do in the meantime.

From pistols to light-machine guns, what separates the gritty streets of Night City from the sun-cracked high-fantasy paths of Skyrim is the fire-power. However, from all the typical tick-box hardware "essentials" that feature in Cyberpunk 2077, one memorable gun has managed to stay with players even after putting the controller down, and for good reason too. Skippy is one of Cyberpunk 2077’s most popular weapons, not only because it deals with strenuous amounts of damage, but because the handgun actually speaks to the user using its unique weapon AI.

Now, one talented fan and their 3D printer have brought Skippy from fiction to reality. The item itself was printed and presented on Reddit by ShallowNihilism, but originally modelled by Juri Pranjic and made available through his Patreon. Although it should be noted that while this version of Skippy cannot speak to the user, pleading for them to take out some Voodoo Boys, it still bears a stunning resemblance to Cyberpunk 2077's in-game model.

The weapon flaunts a crimson and white finish, accompanied by an extensive, bold yellow barrel. Inspecting closer reveals that the piece even includes the main firing trigger mechanism, which is often excluded from common fan-works because of the precision and resources involved in the production process. Details like that make this one of the few replicas in recent times that can be compared to FranklyEverything's legendary real-life Call of Duty Cold War Ice Drake Krig 6, in terms of scale and presentation.

In short, it is clear an exceptional amount of time, detail, and effort went into replicating this chit-chattering gun. Details such as the "HJKE-11 Yukimura" manufacture engravings under the Skippy paint job are the little touches that make the astonishingly impressive Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay prop much more than just eye-candy.

Overall, despite the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 is still filled with game-breaking glitches, creations like this prove that there are players out there willing to pay tribute to the game in various creative ways. Yet, whether it be upcoming hot-fixes or free DLC, it will be interesting to see what CD Projekt RED has to offer in return to these loyal fans.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
