Grim Fable, one of the newest NPCs in Fortnite Season 8, has a couple of new quests for players to take on for extra XP towards the Battle Pass. After players go to Corny Crops to hide in a haystack, destroy beds at Pleasant Park, and then find a Harpoon Gun, they will need to find and hunt a wolf. Wolves were recently added to Fortnite in a previous season in Chapter 2.
By using this short guide, Fortnite players will find out where to find and hunt a wolf.

Wolves roam the Fortnite battle royale map and will attack players when they get close enough. One of the only ways to make a wolf stop attacking players is to defeat it with a weapon; however, a wolf can also be tamed in Fortnite by dropping a price of meat in front of it, which can be obtained by killing a wolf and then picking up the meat that falls. It can also be eaten to increase players' health.
Where to Find Wolves
Wolves will typically come out to play once the sun goes down during a Fortnite match. This means that if players head to any of the listed locations below, they should make sure that it's dark outside, which happens a few minutes after the match has started. Wolves will typically travel in packs, making it easier to hunt at least one down.
Fortnite players can find wolves in these locations, but it's not always guaranteed. The best area to visit is southwest of Boney Burbs, as they tend to show up there most of the time.
- West/Southwest of Boney Burbs
- In Weeping Woods
- Grassy area west of Lazy Lake and north of Misty Meadows
- North of Catty Corner
Fortnite is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
