The Hitman franchise has been doing well since it was rebooted a few years ago, with the first game in the new trilogy still having an active player base. One Hitman 3 fan, Twitch streamer Atrioc, recently set a world record, beating the previous record-holder by about 10 minutes.
Atrioc was recently banned from Twitch, which led to a large return livestream when the ban was revoked. During the livestream, Atrioc decided to try speedrunning the Hitman trilogy and ended up beating the record for Hitman 3 in the Master difficulty, suit only, which resulted in much celebration from both the streamer and the chat that witnessed it.

Reddit user goatgoatlilgoat shared the clip of Atrioc and his fans celebrating during the game's credits, which appears to have attracted some attention. This may be due to Atrioc's existing history with the Hitman franchise. It would appear that this isn't the first time Atrioc has set a world record for a Hitman game through his mastery of Hitman's stealth mechanics. Reportedly, he even started a new speedrun category for the Hitman trilogy and has been battling over it with another speedrunner in recent times.
According to fellow Redditor lmaogetthatbread, who claims to be a Hitman 3 speedrun.com moderator and speedrunner, Atrioc's current record is close to the reasonable human limit. Reportedly, the Master difficulty closely mirrors the Professional difficulty, which is the game's default difficulty and the one most speedrunners use. However, the Master difficulty isn't as thoroughly optimized as the Professional, leaving plenty of room for determined fans to refine their strategies. Judging by Hitman 3 breaking franchise sales records, fans of the Hitman trilogy appear to still be very invested in learning new strategies for the games.
As of writing, it seems that fans of Atrioc and fans of Hitman are both happy to celebrate the streamer's achievement. Several users commented specifically to confirm that this clip was real and Atrioc actually had broken the record. One user reported that despite this record's impressive time deduction, the Hitman games still have a lot of room for optimization, especially with the live DLC map coming to Hitman 3. In this particular run, Atrioc appears to have beaten the top time with disguises without using disguises himself, which seems to back the argument up. Several users applauded Atrioc's hard work and described him as either comparable to the best or one of the best.
Hitman 3 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
