Pokemon Unite has been ramping up its release cycle of brand new Pokemon added to the title in the past month. The collaboration between Nintendo and Tencent saw two new Pokemon join the roster in Blastoise and Mamoswine during September and its mobile version released last week. Fans of the Pokemon MOBA title have been eagerly anticipating the addition of the Fairy-type Eeveelution Sylveon since its announcement alongside Mamoswine and, now, Sylveon fans won't have to wait too much longer to hit the arena.
Pokemon Unite has been a popular title among both casual and competitive fans of the long-running monster-catching franchise. The title's recent launch on Android and iOS included cross-play allowing new mobile players to play alongside Pokemon fans on Switch who had been playing since the game's launch in July. The mobile release also added the Super Item Enhancers allowing players to instantly level their Held Items to Lv 30 creating a more balanced game experience for both sides. Pokemon Unite's roster has been slowly growing since its release and is almost ready to welcome its newest member.

The Pokemon Unite official Twitter account announced this morning that Sylveon would be officially joining the fight on Tuesday, October 5 with a short teaser trailer. The Eeveelution was previously announced in August alongside Mamoswine and fans have been eagerly awaiting the popular Fairy-type Pokemon. The trailer showed off some of Sylveon's moveset including a cone-shaped AoE attack resembling Hyper Voice, an attack creating balls of fire that shoot themselves at enemies, and her large ultimate.
Pokemon Unite has been the subject of criticism since the game's launch due to the game featuring several pay-to-win aspects. The game's equipped items have been the large subject of criticism with players being able to pay for upgrades to their items, allowing players willing to spend money to gain clear advantages over their opponents. Changes like the Super Item Enhancers have helped to curb some of these complaints from the game's fanbase, but in-game issues like the recent Lucario Extremespeed bug have hampered the game's ability to thrive as a competitive title.
Pokemon Unite has been just one of a slew of Pokemon titles released and scheduled to release throughout 2021 and into 2022. The long-awaited follow-up to the N64 classic New Pokemon Snap released on Switch this past April. The Pokemon Company and developer ILCA are nearing the release of the highly-anticipated Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl next month and the next core title Pokemon Legends: Arceus is scheduled to release in early 2022. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have going all-out for the Pokemon's 25th anniversary and the future looks bright for the monster-catching franchise.
Pokemon Unite is available now for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
