Oddworld: Soulstorm launches this week, April 6 but it was recently revealed that the PlayStation 5 version of the game will be free on PS Plus at launch and throughout the entire month. PlayStation 4 owners might feel a bit slighted at their current gen brethren getting the game for “free,” so developer Oddworld Inhabitants announced a free path from PS4 to PS5.
If you buy Oddworld: Soulstorm on PS4, take solace in knowing that you’ll be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. That applies to those buying the physical version of the game; you’ll get the digital PS5 version at no extra cost. Keep in mind that the disc version won’t be available in stores until July 6.
Conversely, those who pick up Soulstorm for current gen while it's free on PS Plus will not get the PS4 version along with it. For those unaware, purchasing multiplatform games on PS5 usually gets you the last-gen version of it too as a separate download. For a glimpse at how the game looks on PS5, check out the trailer from Sony's September PS5 showcase here.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is also coming to PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive. Oddworld Inhabitants shared minimum and recommended specs required to play the game.
Minimum requirements:
Windows 7 64 Bit, Intel Quad Core 1.7Ghz, nVidia GTX 670 or equivalent, 8GB RAM.
Recommended requirements:
Windows 10 64 Bit, Intel Quad Core 2.3Ghz, nVidia GTX 970 or equivalent, 16GB RAM.
Oddworld: Soulstorm stands as what creator Lorne Lanning considers the true sequel to Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and the second part of his Oddworld quintology. Lanning originally envisioned the series as five games starring Abe but that changed with Abe’s Exoddus’ arrival just nine months after Oddysee. That kicked off a new path that led to follow-ups like Munch’s Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath that, while mostly well-received, wasn’t what Lanning had in mind back during the series’ early days. Soulstorm gets that vision back on track.

Michael Pick, an engineer that documents his electronics-based DIY projects on YouTube, just posted a new video where he creates the world’s largest working Nintendo Switch. In the past, Pick uploaded videos about creating tiny PCs and inexpensive Tetris gaming rigs, but his latest effort is definitely his most impressive. And once the Switch was finished, Pick donated the hulking console to a children’s hospital!
Click here to watch embedded mediaThe video above runs a little over four minutes, but you can tag along and watch Pick’s entire process. “I really like the Nintendo Switch,” Pick says during the opening seconds of the video. “It’s small, it’s portable, but it’s really easy to lose and for me, that was a problem...so I decided to fix that by making something that was a little bit larger, and just a little bit harder to lose.”
Pick’s Switch is a 4K screen attached to two 3D printed Joy Cons. The entire console is 650 times bigger than normal Switches. At 70 by 30 inches, it weighs 65 pounds. Moreover, every button, including the bumpers, work. You can hook up a Pro controller or simply play with the massive Joy Cons that come attached; we’re hoping there’s no stick drift too. At the end of the video, in an incredibly heartwarming fashion, Pick decided to donate his creation to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
According to past reports, the next Nintendo Switch model will use Nvidia graphics card chips for a much crisper presentation. So while you’ll probably never get a chance to play Mario Kart on a massive Switch — unless Pick decided to make more copies — at least there’s a high chance that you’ll be able to play your favorite Switch games on a gorgeous 4K screen.

Outriders is available now and rocky server launch issues aside, players have been enjoying what People Can Fly has to offer. Before taking on the dangerous world of Enoch, there are a few things you should know. We've got our master guide here to cover all of the bases, but the first step is deciding what you want to play. With four classes to choose from, here is everything you need to know to decide which Outriders class you should pick.
There is a playstyle for everyone. Whether you want to go full-on tank with the Devastator class, or want to take on the role of support with Technomancer, here is what you can expect from each choice:
For our review, I played all four classes, one of which to full completion and the second is almost done as well. My first run was for the Pyromancer, which I enjoyed, but I wouldn't recommend this one if you're playing solo. It's not bad by any stretch, in fact, it's exhilarating, but something with more effective heals and defense would be better for those venturing out alone. For those playing solo, I'd recommend either the Devastator for its tank combat and defense or Technomancer for the additional healing properties and turret support. Each class feels wildly different, so feel free to play around and see which one feels best! That being said, Trickster is now my number one Best Boy and we'll have those memories forever.

Sometimes pacifism can be the path to victory. That often isn't the case in competitive shooters, but Reddit user Pinkys Brain somehow managed to net a solo victory in Call of Duty: Warzone without harming another individual. When this incredible feat was achieved, Pinkys_Brain pulled out a camera and recorded the post-match statistics to verify no kills were made, and no damage was dealt.
Click here to watch embedded mediaIn the Reddit comments section, Pinkys_Brain said a pacifist run wasn't necessarily the game plan. "I was waiting to fight people in the final circle, and they got stuck at the bottom of a hill and died in the gas." Pinkys_Brain netted a score of 4,900 and somehow managed to complete a contract along the way.
I've been a part of many Call of Duty: Warzone matches where I've hunkered down and not engaged another player. As cowardly as it may seem, this strategy can lead to higher placement – sometimes in the top 10, but these matches always come down to having to run to a different circle and engage other players. We've all died in the gas or have seen other players perish in it. That's a part of the game: you have to keep moving (or get lucky and start in an area where the final circle constriction will be).
A couple of people in the Reddit chat believe a stim glitch may have been used to achieve this victory, but the scenario Pinkys_Brain outlines are entirely possible and have likely happened to other players before, yet we just haven't heard about these moments.
Activision recently provided information on Season Two Reloaded updates that will be coming to both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone. A slew of new maps, modes, and features are on the way, giving players plenty of reasons to come back for more and perhaps try for a pacifist victory!
